EPISODE ONE

[ The flight itself wasn't supposed to be too long - only six hours or so. And up until it all went sideways, it'd been fine; some of the kids had paired off, making small talk with those sat closest to them. Others kept to themselves, tuning out with headphones in or with books. A couple of boys a couple of seats from the front had fallen asleep on each other. Some faces were plastered to the windows, as if there was much else to see other than the vast expanse of ocean.
One minute it'd been smooth sailing, the next there'd been turbulence. And then that's worsened considerably, and it'd rapidly become transparently clear that they were taking a one-way, nose-first detour into the Pacific. Though perhaps by divine intervention or sheer, what're-the-odds chance, the plane had gone down a couple of miles from an island's shoreline.
Some woke up practically washed ashore, others weren't so lucky, left to flounder for any floating debris large enough to hold their weight. Regardless of where or how they woke up, one thing was abundantly clear. They were all equally, undeniably fucked. ]

No. He shouldn't think like that - he should be happy and relieved that others survived. And he was! But his priority would always be his twin.
Making his way over, he tried to hide his disappointment - something easily done when you looked as concerned as they both did - and slowed to a stop once he was a few feet from...Llewellyn? It was something like that, that's what he'd heard someone call him on the plane. The blonde girl.
"Christ, s'good to know I'm not by myself here," he said as he caught his breath, and although he was trying to keep his tone light, it really wasn't working. "Hey, uh - you seen anyone else? I'm lookin' for my brother, h-he was with me, but we got...y'know..."
A vague motion towards the ocean as a whole. 'Separated' was the missing word there, but he didn't add it in. He just watched Llewellyn closely, hoping to see in his expression that yes! Yes he had seen other people! They were all grouped nearby and they had a working phone and everything would be fine!
Tsch. Yeah fucking right.

So he rubbed the back of his neck lightly at the question, “Yeah, I’ve seen a couple people now? And one of them seen at least one other person before we split up to look for more. So that, uh— makes five of us. Only one of them was a guy though... Cassian was his name, I think.”
And Cassian hadn’t looked like he was related to this guy at all, so aside from an adoption situation, he wasn’t sure that was who Murphy was looking for. Llewellyn could vaguely remember the other teen that had been sitting with Murphy, and that definitely hadn’t been Cassian.
On the note of seat neighbours... Llewellyn kind of wondered what happened to his own, he’d gotten to know her a little on the flight and she’d been pretty nice considering they were strangers and he was a nervous flyer. Shaking his head a little, as if to realign his train of thought, he added. “I’m Llewellyn, by the way... What’s your name?”

Fuck. Fuck.
This time, it was harder to keep the simmering dread and worry from his face, kept down only by his determination to not totally freak out on this guy he'd known all of five seconds. Pushing his hands through his hair, he turned away from Llewellyn for a minute to try and collect himself, to try and calm down despite how bad his head hurts. Maybe someone else had found him, maybe he was who one of the girls had found.
It took him a second to realise that Llewellyn had asked him a question, and just as long to actually shake his head to snap himself out of it long enough to answer him.
"Uh- Murphy. I'm Murphy."

As tempting as it was.
So with the introductions out of the way, he awkwardly tried to at least... offer to help with the search. “Hey, Murphy, then. Uh— Just because I haven’t seen him doesn’t mean no one else has. Do you want to look with me?” He gestured in one of the directions he was pretty sure they hadn’t looked yet, at least he didn’t remember going that way. “We also have a designated meet up point... If we don’t find anyone else, we can go back there and see if any of the other’s had any luck.”
